"So you've basically been giving the babysitter a workout. I like it." Tamira laughed. Not that she was worried. If there was one of her children she'd never wondered at their ability to go with the flow of things, it was Sean. Jenna had been her steady one, the one with carefully thought out plans. Sean had goals. But, he would bend with circumstance to get their rather than plodding through in a straight line. "Although, raising my kids was hard enough. I can't imagine how challenging raising kids with these abilities is going to be, especially at this age when everything is about discovery for them and they don't understand so much of the world they've been born into. How do you ground a child who teleports?"
Smiling sadly, she reached over to take Savannah's hand, briefly. "Thank you for being a friend to my kids. Both of them. Sean's told me about the two of you. He seems to think very highly of you. And, well, from what I know of the man, it takes a special kind of person to get Callen to let them in." Her eyes tracked the people around them until she found where Dom and Blaze were, unsurprised to see Sean had joined them. "I always knew there was a chance I'd lose my baby girl when she went to war. It's so important to spend the time with them you can, while they're there, before they're gone."
From what Sean had told her, Tamira might have to sit her daughter's husband down and remind him he was a father, too. But, she'd wait and see for herself, first. She knew from experience how hard it was to balance work and family as a single parent, even with help and family around.
"So, tell me about yourself. I've heard Sean's view. But, I like to know from the source. You were a cheerleader in school when you came through?"
