John hadn't been needed as a participant in the conversation, so he'd just kept working, while keeping an eye on things around him. It wasn't like search processes needed him to babysit them while they worked. But, he almost groaned when she said she was born in London. Getting into government databases in the U.S. was bad enough. But if he had to start trying to access the U.K. this was going to take the whole flight.
"I guess your parents were big science fiction fans? It's a start," he told her, taking over the conversation now because he needed to get this done directly. "I don't suppose you could be any more specific? Parents names? Age? Schooling? Anything that might correlate to the you in this world. Particularly if you're a foreign national, having two of you running around could get tricky if we don't know her status here. That branch of the Secret Service doesn't exist in this world. It's purpose for existing doesn't exist here."
It was looking like this Helena Wells was going to become another person who didn't exist for whatever reason. Wait. Raising an eyebrow, he stared at her for a moment. Except for Callen, there were only two people who 'didn't exist' in this dimension at all and that was because they did, just not at the right ages to be found and no one else knew the reason for that, not even among the others. "Actually, this may take a while, since we're dealing with international data. We can corroborate more when we get to our destination. I think we're going to need the Director's assistance on this one, Derek, given the political problems it might cause."
