"God, yes," TJ replied immediately. Okay, so maybe it was a nice gesture that she'd named the kid after him, but TJ still couldn't understand why he should have any particular feelings for him just because he'd been there at the birth or had his name given to him. He could be nice and let her have the pictures she wanted. That was...well, normal. Even TJ's mother had played nice with the babies on the campaign trail and saved the bitching about it for private later. Babies, photos, it could almost be a publicity stop.
Getting left holding the baby was not.
Besides, the kid was fussing and that little fist smacking into TJ's bruised chest was, oh, so not comfortable.
"Thank you." He handed the kid over to Callen with no hesitation whatsoever. TJ just wasn't a baby person. He didn't get soft and sentimental over cute kids doing 'cute' things. When the kid could walk and carry on a reasonable conversation -- by TJ's standards, not so-called adorable 'kid-speak' -- then he might take an interest. Might. "Getting beat up by an infant is not my finest moment."
