Re: John and Dom
"Nothing is fixed by hugs and smiles, but they still make people feel better. It's just human nature. When a child gets hurt, we hug her. It doesn't take the pain away, but she stops crying. It's the human connection that makes us react that way." Some of them became too hardened to remember that, though. Dom put the thought aside and chuckled. "I'm sure they can tell you all the reasons why and then hug you. Not that I can understand their point of view. They know each other. I might know a version of them, but they aren't the same people, and we could stay here for a long time, and when we go back, it's all gone."
Dome looked it over, and smiled. "So, you enjoy light reading. I like it," he said, with a grin. "However, I warn you, Eric and I are pretty good with those video games, just as good as we are with advanced physics and math. We've already gone out to get a few games. We can bring them over."
He looked over the room and sighed. "It's not the strangeness; it's reminding myself that they aren't the same people, that Kensi won't get the joke, and that Deeks won't know the latest mission, and that Sam is alive. That... that's the weird one." He didn't mention Callen. The man had his own category, and it wasn't one that he wanted to share with John.
