He chuckled. "I do like that, and that is the problem." he told her, see this - her not actually getting that it might have some sort of effect on him when she said things like that while sitting in his lap, he couldn't not love that. "I don't want to confuse you, I just happen to like your suggestion quite a bit and we're here watching the games with everyone else at the moment and ... yeah." He trailed off shaking his head.
When Savannah settled against him again, Marty let his attention briefly drift back to the game just long enough to get an update on the score before Savannah was speaking up again. "It's a different kind of normal for me too." He told her - he'd never thought something like this, Savannah in his lap, relaxing together watching TV just all things that maybe in parts had been normal at some point, but never as a whole. "I didn't say anything about our resident Texan." Marty said holding up the hand he didn't have around her innocently. "No need for threats."
