Really why did all these questions have to be so difficult? Parker did not understand it. Surely there were simple questions she could ask, things that didn't require her to keep track of several different stories all at once. This was why she worked alone, at least up until the last few years - and then the team understood. She didn't have to start explaining things to them, they just knew.
"Oh you know, things." She said in the vague sort of way she'd seen Tara use when she was pretending to be a fashion designer. A bit haughty like she couldn't take the time to explain what she actually did. "Yes!" She latched on to the excuse April gave her for being from all over with perhaps a bit too much enthusiasm. "I travel all the time, you have no idea."
"It's not really home though is it?" Parker said tilting her head when April said she'd want to spend time there. She got that much about all of this, and Boston had never really been home - it was a base of operations, it was where a great many of her rigs were stored, but it wasn't home. Just like this wouldn't be home, it was a place she was for the time being until she was somewhere else.
