Re: Savannah/Marty
She kissed him again, but didn't answer, not with words. Time was what they needed. She had pressured him once and things had blown up in their faces. Now, she was happy to take things day by day and enjoy their time together. Instead, Savannah grinned as she answered. "I'm glad we have agreed on my beauty. That's a really important thing, a lot more important than games and teams and schools." She chuckled. "That's really good, because I didn't even know I was evil. I need you to tell me these things or I'll never figure them out."
Savannah kept rubbing his neck. "You're too tense. You're doing a pretty good imitation of G at the moment. It's over, we're not out there anymore, and people aren't that bad. Over two million people and nothing happened. No arrests, no incidents, nothing but a lot of people having fun. The parade is just an excuse to be surrounded by others. It makes you feel alive."
She stayed close, lips brushing against his, before pulling back with a sigh. "Am I? Is there a reason why or just because?" she asked with a smile. "I told you that I'll be with you for the rest of our lives. I'm just making sure that the people in charge know it too so when we go back no one tries anything, because they aren't taking you away from me, not because of national security, because of safety or whatever else." She patted his cheek. "Don't worry, you do your job and I'll think of everything else. I'll even tell you when it's time to propose," she teased.
