Re: John and Dom
Dom had never been a sport enthusiastic. He'd been too much of a nerd growing up, always interested in the inside of a computer more than the latest game scores. In college, he had been surrounders by other geeks, so there had never been a need to pretend to care. Game on time or a video game? There was no question what they would choose, and possibly discussing the logorhythms necessary to improve the video game while playing it. Now that was fun.
So with four games about eight teams for a different dimension, he couldn't say he cared about any of them. Then again, he was pretty sure that most of the people here didn't care either. It was just an excuse to do 'normal' things, pretend that they were just like everyone else.
That image was shattered once more when an eighteen year old with too much knowledge of both computers and guns sat next to him. The computer and physics knowledge didn't really surprise Dom, he'd been just as bad. No, it was the combination that had him puzzled, but he didn't push. "Nah, go ahead. We can even pretend to talk about the game when Savannah will eventually make her way here." He didn't know why the woman had such insane need to play hostess even when it was a simple gathering.
