Re: Savannah/Marty
"My life would't have been the same without you," she answered, tapping his nose with a finger. She was kidding, but as she said it, she realized how true it was, and she nodded slowly. "Yes, it was very lucky." She wasn't sure he understood just how lucky, because he didn't like to think of the future, but Savannah simply knew that this was forever. They would find the way to make it work because Marty was the one. She'd just have to be patient until he caught on. He was always a little slower.
"I think you got confused. You have to tell me that I'm gorgeous daily, not that I'm evil. We already know that," she joked, while she ran her fingers through his hair. She used her thumb to put some pressure, drawing circles on his neck. "It was still cool to see the parade. There were more people there today than in Memphis an that's if you include all the counties around us."
Savannah turned slightly so she could put both arms around him. One hand stayed in his hair, while her lips pressed against the side of his neck. "We did, and you know what I want," she said, softly so no one could hear. "There's nothing to figure out. I told Hetty that I'll do what it takes to be a part of your life. She'll deal with the paperwork and I'll sign all those nice national security papers." She pulled back so she could look at him. "I'm not doing this blindly, Marty. Most people are told what it's like; I'm living it. This is not what I imagined for my life, but it's worth it. Our future is worth the secrecy."
