Re: Savannah/Marty
Savannah chuckled. "Yes, I think we solved that little problem when discussing football." Now there was a real sport with great cheerleaders. "Nah, not really. I mean there's Memphis, but that's mostly home field and Texas, but basketball was never my thing. It's all about football, the real sport, the one that's almost as bad as cheerleading."
She kissed his neck, happy to stay there, with him, and not really caring about the game. She could be supportive when UCLA played, but other than that, she didn't care.
"It was-" She tried to search for the right words. After a moment, she sat up again. She ran her hand over her leg as she thought of the best way to phase it. "I can train, I can do the work, I will do the work, but it's not me. I like to smile and talk to people and make people happy. Looking at everyone like they could be criminals or terrorists isn't me, no matter how many assault weapons I learn to fire. I know you don't get it, not really, because this is what you want to do, but me? I'd still rather be home taking care of my family." She leaned back again. "I feel like I'm doing G a disservice. He should have someone who wants to do this with him." Then again, there were plenty of people who didn't want to do this job.
