Casey looked at Queen as he spoke, observing him. "Were there any truth to those rumors?" he asked, leaning on his cue.
When Queen continued, Casey frowned. "I know this isn't any of my business," he started as he moved in to make his own shot. "But if it were me, I'd spend my time trying to get past whatever the beef was rather than spending it with someone I hardly know," he said, straightening up even though the ball had gone in and he had his next shot perfectly lined up. "I'm the new guy. I don't know the people, the history, or what happened. But if I had someone from my past with me here, a friend, I'd do anything in my power to sort out whatever it was, because when it comes down to it, it's your friends who're going to save your ass when the building collapses underneath you."
He shrugged. "But then that's just my opinion. Feel free to ignore it. After all, I don't have a clue what happened to make things weird in the first place." He doubted it could be worse than what had gone on between him and Severide, however. Leaning back down he took the shot.
