"I'm sure you do," he said, chuckling. "I never thought that spanking was a listed skill. It's another one of those differences between the Navy and NCIS," he said, trying not to laugh, which became easy when they started talking about Abby again. "Do you want the daily classes or send it to you weekly? I was going to do it daily, but you won't be able to do it unless you plan to do hand-to-hand with her. You can teach her how to kill with normal household object. I'm sure you'll need my notes on those." To add a few suggestions, he mentally added, but didn't say. Cold war spies had to be a lot more inventive than SEALs. SEALs could just go in and kill with their bare hands most of the times.
"Yes, and while I can appreciate some illnesses, I'm not very lenient when the answer is grow up," he said, "but since she's not my problem, you get to label it any way you like it."
Sam chuckled. "Maybe. However, if a positive answer gets me a team, then I'll plea the fifth." He looked up at Hetty, smiling. "He's doing good, Hetty. As crazy as it sounds, this was good for G." She hadn't asked, and she probably knew anyway, but they didn't see her every day, not the way they used to, and he thought she ought to know. "I don't know, Hetty. I'm not questioning your skills, but I believe in working in pair. It's something that's been drilled into me. It doesn't matter that I could probably fare better by myself with the skills I have. Two is always better than one. If there's someone you feel comfortable living with, then my recommendation is to live with that person, and I'm telling you as a friend and as the agent responsible for security. If I could, I'd make it mandatory, but I can't, so I'm asking you to think about it."
