"I suppose we should be grateful for the small things," Casey said, and that was something he was sure he couldn't have handled. He might be a private guy, but unlike most people here he'd never gone undercover or tried to hide who he was.
"Why would anyone want to stay somewhere you can't have a real life?" he asked. He'd also never considered not helping, and he didn't even know the people involved. He'd become a fireman to help save people's life, this was just another way of doing the same. "I've been told that one group left but I don't really get why you would want to."
He shrugged. "Perhaps," he said. "A fire doesn't last as long as an investigation though, or at least that's what I imagine. It's also not trying to hurt anyone."
