"Do you want me to be angry that you kissed him? I'm not, and why should I be? I'm more concerned about you getting drunk and high than what you might have done while you were those things. I'm more upset with myself that I was the cause of the backslide," Oliver said, becoming agitated. "How am I supposed to be angry with you when it's my fault?"
He balled one of his hands into a fist. "I can read your mind about as well as you can read mine. I wasn't lying when I said that we're as close as many married couples. In fact, we're probably closer than a lot of them. The fact that I didn't know you were struggling with things shouldn't be held against me."
