"Don't start being all logical," he aid, trying to sound annoyed. "And talking does not help. We were better off when we were drinking champagne." Tommy shrugged. "I don't care about the names. The highs can't be too different."
Tommy chuckled. "A selfish, arrogant ass? It must be why I liked you from the start. Peas in a pod." By the time he'd started partying with TJ, there were no friends or family left to care about, so it had been perfect for Tommy. "Yes, that's how you sound, and you should stop it. It's unsettling that you can be so normal."
This was a serious discussion, but he started to laugh when TJ choked. "Yes, he did. I'm telling it's a fucking mess."
He didn't want to go dance. He wanted to get high, but drinking sounded like a good start. "A night in a club is always a good thing." He finally nodded. "Fine, let's go party." And if he found something else while he was in there, TJ didn't have to know.
