Re: TJ and Tommy
TJ wasn't just using the cigarette as an excuse to get Tommy out of the restaurant and to where he could start to relax. He actually needed the smoke to keep his own handle on things, which is why he snorted, mid-light, when Tommy asked his question. He waited until he had the cigarette lit and took a long drag before he answered. "Barely," was his honest answer. "It's been...difficult...ever since the brownie incident. If it wasn't for Travis...I don't know. I probably wouldn't be."
Watching the men coming in and out of the club, dancing inside, he huffed softly. "This isn't really my scene, either. Travis worked as a bouncer in a place similar to this while we were gone, though. I spent weekends in there when I could. Got used to it. And, this is probably the best we're going to get here. I'll deal with it I get a night to just party."
He took another drag, ignoring the pair of guys who'd just gone into the club with their necks craned trying to ogle himself and Tommy. "You want to talk about what happened? Or do you want me to talk to the birthday boy about letting you join us? Let off steam together like the old days? Almost."
