Tommy pushed the door of the bathroom open and stepped inside. The more Oliver talked, the more he really wanted something, and not even some party favor that would make him feel nice and happy, but some heavy stuff that would make the world disappear for a few hours.
He went to the sink and washed his face, when he stood up, he could see Oliver's reflection in the mirror. "I don't care what the reason is, Oliver. I don't need you here, don't want you here. I just need some time by myself. Is that too much to ask?" He turned around and stared at his friend. "I just need some time. Just go in there, have dessert, finish your champagne. I'll be there in a little bit. If you want to do something for my birthday, then leave me alone for a few minutes. It's the perfect gift, and you don't even have to wonder what to give me. It works out perfectly."
