Re: Dom/Kensi
"He's expecting it," he whispered. "I'd say wait. You can let him sweat and catch him by surprise," he said, winking at her.
He looked at the very closed doors. "Let's go to the office, before one of them blows a fuse. We could compromise security by being seen outside." It didn't matter that it might not happen, right now, he didn't want to give Callen any more reasons to distrust him.
Dom put a hand on her back, walking toward the offices. With someone else, this might be chivalary. With Kensi, it was a way to remind her that murdering a lead agent in plain view was not a good idea. When they were in the office, he finally answered her question. "He wants people he trusts in all the units. That's the reason he gave me. I'm sure if he's anything like my Callen, he even believes it himself. I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons that have nothing to do with that, but he'd rather not consider, because then he'd be as human as the rest of us, and he'd play favorites."
He sighed. "I'd ask you if you're okay, but I know the answer to that one. I know that there's nothing I can say to change things between us, but what do you think about training together, when we don't have to train Garcia and Kinney, get a feel for each other, maybe even do one of those FBI exercises or maybe even one of the Army ones, just to be on the field together."
