RP: Two new arrivals Who: Leon, Casey, Mike, Derek/Nell, Alexis/Tim, Mike/Claudia, Sean/Tommy Where: California, New York, Illinois When: Sunday, February 24, 2013 Summary: There are two arrivals in different places
Leon was starting to think that California was really a bad place to be. Not that they had much of a choice. With the way things were, he couldn't afford to be way from the state, and even more so from here Callen and the rest had disappeared. He did not leave people behind, which meant they had to stay in the area, but it made everything else a pain in the ass. Any East coast arrival put them three hours behind, and a little too often, he was woken up before dawn.
Today, at least he got to sleep before the familiar pain arrive, and that meant that John got to sleep as well. Leon told Deeks to get two teams to the plane. Reese, Jones, Castle and Riggins would go to Chicago, while Renko, Donovan, Hanna and Merlyn would go to New York. They started to drive down to the plane as John started to look for the two.
God bless the Northeast and its many cameras, because they got two arrivals, and both were in civilization. Chicago was a piece of cake. It only took ten minutes to find the man who was wondering the streets, dressed as a firefighter and looking really lost, especially because there didn't seem to be any trucks or fire in the vicinity. They could just monitor him until the plane arrived. They used Dom's computer to track the second one. This was a little tricker, because Dutchess county wasn't New York City, but it was still close enough. It took a little longer before they found their man near Poughkeepsie.
Their identities weren't hard to find either. The first was pretty easy, the CFD said it all, and it coincided with the current Matthew Casey residing in Chicago. The second one took slightly longer, but the version in this dimension worked in the Behavior Analysis Unit of the FBI. If the same could be said of their new arrival, they'd have gained two new important elements.
Of course, catching them was the primary objective. Both teams were sent with specific instructions. With no swap, they couldn't afford to leave people behind and they were going back to the old and tried: tranquilize, transport to the plane, brief on the plane. With that, they were also using their shields. People always moved away when they saw shields, even when they were fake or obsolete, like in this case. Everyone was under strict orders to interact with the public only if necessary, never to take their hats off to avoid getting caught on camera and never use any of the aliases used prior.
Callen left the first team in Chicago, before traveling to New York. Fortunately, no problems came up and both teams were able to capture their target. The plane stayed until that assignment was completed before picking up the Chicago team. It was somewhere over Kansas that their new arrivals woke up.
