Really, their parents needed to learn the brothers did better when they stopped meddling. Of course, insightful was easier to pull off when he wasn't high as a kite and actually gave a shit about the person in question.
Possibly more of the second reason than the first. After all, how many philosophers, writers, artists, and musicians had been high, drunk, or otherwise blissed out when inspiration struck?
