"I've always been this insightful; it just didn't fit the public image," TJ replied with a smirk. It was better than snorting at the idea of Dad wanting to piss them off. Really, their parents needed to learn the brothers did better when they stopped meddling. Of course, insightful was easier to pull off when he wasn't high as a kite and actually gave a shit about the person in question.
Possibly more of the second reason than the first. After all, how many philosophers, writers, artists, and musicians had been high, drunk, or otherwise blissed out when inspiration struck?

Change is always personal and Doug always needs time to deal with it. Travis and I are watching out for him. He'll be okay. And I'm going to hope Vail meant the hot guy with laser beam eyes from that movie otherwise I might have to remember North Carolina is still the South and that's my Mama he's talkin' about."
