Doug stepped closer, and framing TJ's face, he kissed his forehead, before moving back. "I love you for what you're trying to do, but I don't care. I don't give a damn anymore. You decide tonight, tomorrow, in a month. Just tell me what you decide and we do it."
He refused to keep making plans when things disappeared in front of his eyes. He'd done it in DC, he'd tried in Pittsburgh and now things were going straight to hell before they could even make a decision.
"Mom, I love you. I'm not upset. I just don't want to deal with this, and TJ is right. There's no reason to make any decision because we don't know what's going to happen, and now, I'm really going."
"Dougie." Elaine sighed, as Doug shook his head and kept going. She turned to TJ, smiling at him. "At least he doesn't seem upset with you anymore. Are you two okay?"
