Robert snorted at the email. She might not have realized, but he had a nagging suspicion. He had almost said something about Vance in the previous email, but decided that it wasn't his business.
She had figured it out anyway.

For anyone who comes from the Air Force and has been here for almost two years, the news is not very surprising.
I'd like to point out that we don't distrust science and medicine. In fact, we do rely heavily on them. We distrust scientists and doctors that aren't part of our team. We're perfectly fine with the scientists we currently have. We just don't know you enough to trust you and yes, trust needs to be earned. It takes time, it takes misunderstandings and it takes arguments. We are all very good at those here. You'll learn to stand up for what you believe in, and when you do, people will pay attention. They might still disagree, but at least you'll know that they are listening to you.
We'll talk when you'll come over the house. There's no reason for you to do this twice.
