RP: Pot Party
Who: Everyone (add your tags so we know who's there. It might be important with this one)
Where: the Rec room
When: Saturday, January 12, 2013
Summary: Weed Brownies spice up everything

Brian had spent Saturday morning making weed oil. It wasn't hard, he'd been doing it since college, and some things were really like riding a bike or a cock. He had stored the oil and then in the afternoon, he'd been back to back brownies.

Everything had been done in one of the hotel room, because there was no way he was going to explain to Derek what he was doing. The man might object. Hell, John might object, and this was the best idea since... well for a very long time and Brian had every intention of enjoying the night.

He and Claudia brought the brownies to the rec center after the rest had left after practice. Thankfully, it was still raining and people were inside, which made the operation a success. They were able to put the brownies with the rest of the snacks (and who the hell called nuts and dried fruit snacks) and drinks. He made a really small batch without weed that he'd give Savannah when they got here. She could put her little bag by the stage. When the party started, he could sit back and enjoy the night with a little help from his brownies.

Doug/TJ/The rest of the family?

Doug didn't indulge often. He had a tight control on himself, and while sober, it took some doing to voluntarily take something. Usually that first step only came in the form of TJ, but not this time.

He started eating the brownies, because they were the best food around, and by the time he was on piece three, he could tell how stones he was. I twas awesome and he was happy and for tonight nothing mattered.

In such a good mood, he went to find his brother and put an arm around him. "You lost your stalker," he said. And was he giggling? He might be giggling. Because it was funny, because Travis wasn't a stalker. "I don't remember what I was thinking." He kissed TJ's cheek. "I love you, you know that right? I would totally stick my hand inside your body if you needed help, even if it were sticky and yucky, but I don't think I could touch your heart. That's weird."

If asked to compare the two, TJ would have said cocaine was a Ferrari and marijuana was a Lincoln Towncar; cocaine was fucking half-clothed, hard and fast against a wall, and marijuana was slow morning sex in the summer sun. A line or two would hit him fast and hard and everything was awesome. The high from marijuana snuck up on him gradually until he was nice and mellow and feeling good. By the time it was enough for TJ to recognize the high, he was high enough to have forgotten why he wasn't suppose to be high and when Doug joined him on the couch, TJ leaned comfortably against his brother.

"Love you, too, bro." There was no reason to feel anything but good and TJ felt really good. How could he not? He was with his twin and they were comfortable, cozy. "You already touch my heart and it's not sticky or yucky. Or weird."

Doug wasn't sure why that even made sense and had to think really really hard about it, and when he got it, the frown turned into a bright smile. "You're a sop." The giggling didn't seem to stop with the pseudo insult.

"I like touching it in a non sticky or yucky way. Or weird. Or bloody. I don't like to see you sick," he said, shaking his head to make his point. "No more fighting, even when I'm not high. I think I'm high. Do you think I am? Did you give me anything, because I don't remember." He started laughing again as he watched the rest of their family. "I think they are high too."

"Not me. You're baked from the baking," TJ said with a laugh, wiggling the small piece of chocolate he had left in his hand before he ate it. "I don't bake...just get baked." There wasn't any other explanation. Or, who knew. Maybe there was. But, TJ was high and he had brownies and that made enough sense to him, as much as anything made sense.

And why try to make anything make sense when everything felt so relaxed. Nope, not worrying. "No more fighting," he agreed. Rolling his head to one side, he looked at the family and laughed some more. "They might be. Fuck, this awesome."

He missed this feeling, so relaxed and happy. Only thing better than this was that quiet, blissed out feeling coming down after really good sex. Snuggling in more comfortably against his brother, TJ sighed happily. Life was good, just like this.

"Why are you sticking your hand inside me and getting bloody? I'm not sick."

Doug laughed because that was the funniest joke ever, but shut up when TJ ate the brownie. "You took the brownie. You ate the brownie. I want a brownie. It makes everything so good. We should have people make brownies more often.

He didn't know why their family being high was awesome, but it seemed to make TJ happy and Doug liked happy TJ. "I can feel you. You're all happy and warm and .. I like this feeling. Or maybe it's me. Still good." He moved as TJ did, pulling TJ even closer with the arm still around TJ's shoulder. Doug kissed TJ's forehead. "We need to stop talking to other people. Just us. Things are better."

Doug looked down at TJ's body. "You're not bloody." That was a very good thing and he started laughing again. "I don't remember why, but I'm not sticking anything now. I don't want to move."

"Have to move to get brownies. Over. Rated." TJ couldn't help thinking Doug needed to relax like this more often. Things were so much easier when they could just kick back and chill. If he closed his eyes and just leaned against his brother, TJ could almost imagine this was a real club. Music and drugs and normality.

He hummed a contentedly little hum. "Everyone should feel like this. I can make it happen. Did I tell you?" Had he been any less stoned, he never would have brought that up. But, in the moment, it seemed like the greatest thing ever. "No need for brownies or powder. Just...me. I can make people feel good. Not bloody." He shook his head, eyes widening as things seemed to go slow-mo for a moment. "Just very good. Wanna see?"

"You can't move. You fit just right." He was comfortable and warm and he did not want to move. He didn't want to do anything. No moving, no planning, no doing anything other than sitting here and talking to TJ.

Doug nodded. "They should." He looked at his brother, not sure that he understood, and then grinned. "You don't even have to get up. That is awesome." The idea made him frown again. "Why can't I do it? I can feel everything. Why can't I? Maybe we should try together. We're so much better together."

"I don't know. I can't feel anything but me." TJ shrugged. Trying to figure out how powers worked required far more concentration than he had the desire to put into it just then. But, the idea they could do bigger and better together appealed. They were twins, two halves of one whole; two were definitely better than one when it came to doing things together.

And they didn't even have to move.

Wasn't even like there'd be any of the side effects in the morning. At least, there hadn't been that TJ could tell the once or twice he'd tried it before.

"Okay, let's try together. All I really do is just kind of...I don't know...push?" Chuckling because he couldn't describe what he did anymore than he could say why Doug couldn't do it, TJ offered Doug a hand. "On three?"

"That sounds like you're giving birth." That was so funny and he laughed for a long time, or maybe a few seconds. Wait? What were they doing again? Why were they holding hands?

"Yes, on three." He was supposed to do something. Powers, right. They were going to get everyone high. "Let's do it. One, two, three." He had no clue what he was doing, he'd never tried before, but he pushed that feeling of relaxation and happiness, and he could feel the increase of happiness around the room.

The world was good.

"Yuck." And that was all TJ could say to giving birth, even if he didn't stop smiling because he was still feeling far too good.

Holding Doug's hand tightly, he...well, pushed. It was easier to remember how that feeling really felt while he was living it. In a way, it was like that morning in the apartment when Travis made him feel so good, it just sort of spilled over to everyone else. So, he turned his focus, what there was of it, inward, raising his own high until he just overflowed and there was nowhere else for it to go but out. First to Doug and then to the rest.

One large communal high to help make everyone feel good. So warm and mellow and good. Yeah, just making everyone feel so good. As good as he felt, as good as he could make himself feel.

Yeah, just like that.

Travis had been noticing people acting strangely in the past 10 minutes or so. At first, he'd thought that he was just seeing things, and that's when he started to pay more attention and he wasn't seeing things. Something was off.

He was about to speak to Deeks when he felt it. Oh the high was so wonderful, bringing back so many good memories, but also so many bad ones, memories of loss of control, violence, blood and death. He also knew that he hadn't done anything. Two options: food or power. If this was TJ, he was going to kill him.

"We're high," he said when he reached Deeks. The words were a lot slower than normal. "It might be... it might be TJ. Fuck, I hate this." He really hated feeling like this, forced to remember too many undercover operations. "I'll take care of him. You check food."

Marty was starting to think he'd spent too much time with G and Sam. He was getting paranoid. Had to be because he could have sworn the entire tone of the evening had just shifted on it's side to resemble an Eagles concert. That was the last place he could remember this sort of loose vibe shared among a group of people. But, that didn't make any sense.

And then it hit him.

He might have questioned his own perceptions, worries of the job getting to him. But, when outside confirmation came int he form of Marks at his side stating the obvious, Marty wanted to punch someone...or he would have if he wasn't caught in the mellow from the high. It was a necessary evil undercover. But, mellow and Mr. Laid Back were as much cover stories as anything else for Marty. He did not enjoy feeling like things were out of his control in the field. Like it or not, this was 'the field' now, even if they lived here.

"We are." He tried to reach out for Savannah with his mind to check on her and the baby, but it was slow and difficult to focus. Blinking, he stopped before he gave himself a headache he couldn't afford on top of this. "Alright. You check him. I've got the food and I'll give Reese the heads up. Let me know." And if someone had tampered with the food or this was somehow Thomas' doing, Marty would kill him for putting the kids in danger.

Derek didn't know what the hell was going on. Call it sixth sense or spending plenty of time with people out of necessity, he could tell something was wrong, but he didn't know what and then he started to feel weird, calm in a way.

He was still trying to piece things together when Deeks showed up. "What's going on?" He shook his head, trying to clear this fog that was in his head. "I'm feeling strange. What is this? Powers, gases?" He could remember the different smells of the early year of the war, the first one with no masks or oxygen tanks, smells that meant people would die. "Should we ventilate?

"You've never been high?" It was asked as a question, but it really wasn't a question. It had been awhile for Marty and he was fighting the effects in order to work. Some things were bound to come weird. "No ventilation. It feels like marijuana. So, either powers or food. Marks is checking a tip on possible powers. I'm going to check the food as best I can and dump everything I'm not sure about. How affected are you?" He knew he and Marks could work through this. Couldn't survive undercover in Narc without developing a tolerance. But, if Reese wasn't recognizing the effects, he might not be able to function enough. "Think you can start checking the team, see who's affected and who isn't?"

If it was food, some may not be affected. If it was a power, hopefully they'd come out of it when it ended.

"High? Like in taking herbs? Only crazy people with death wishes did that. He was used to his head feeling heavy and being foggy. "Fumes, gases, torture, that I've dealt with. I can work."

Derek wondered if he was supposed to know what marijuana felt like, but he just nodded. "I'll speak with people." He started to go before stopping. "We should take weapons. I've seen too many people die like that." Mostly they'd wanted to do it even before, but at this point, he wouldn't put it past anyone.

Travis went straight to the couch after leaving Deeks. Both TJ and Doug were snuggling together and he really didn't want to know if it was normal to be that close or touchy, but he had other problems.

"What are you doing?" he whispered as he leaned down. "TJ, did you take anything, what did you take? Because I know I didn't and I can feel the high." He'd be a lot more pissed if he couldn't still feel the high, but even with that high, he was still pretty pissed. "You need to stop right now, because you're broadcasting. I can feel it. Everyone can feel it."

"Mm, there's my baby." TJ looped his arms around Travis' neck as he leaned down. "Come here. Room for more. Everything feels good. And now I've got my bro and my baby. Everything's perfect."

What was he doing? Was he broadcasting? Oh, right. They'd wanted to make everyone feel good. But, now Travis was here and TJ only wanted to make him feel good. He stopped thinking about everyone else, forgetting it would take away some of his high, too. Tilting his head back he pouted at his lover as his control on his power slipped and the effects faded. "Don't make me come down. Please, Travis?"

He didn't feel as happy anymore, still mellow, but he'd been flying and now he wasn't. Turning, he looked at Doug. "We need brownies."

"Yeah, your baby is working right now," he said. Reaching back, he pulled TJ's arms off. "Everything is not perfect. You're high." He looked at Doug. "And what about you?"

Doug shook his head. "I'm not high. I'm baked, he said, before starting to laugh.

Travis groaned. "Right, so are you." He brushed TJ's face. "Did you make the brownies, babe? Did you know what was in there?"

Doug snorted. "TJ doesn't bake."

"Okay, so do you know who bakes?" Although really if it wasn't TJ and his stash, then it was someone and his stash and it wasn't hard to figure it out. He texted brownies to Deeks. "Okay, you two stay here, and no more brownies for either one of you."

This wasn't fair. He couldn't make others feel good. He couldn't have more brownies. And he couldn't have Travis? TJ's pout grew more pronounced as Travis pulled away. "I'll promise not to do it again. Don't leave?"

Something in the back of his mind told him he couldn't keep that promise. But, he didn't know why and he didn't care. Travis was leaving. He grabbed at Travis' shirt to keep him from going too far. He was still leaning against his brother and he let his head rest on Doug's shoulder at the same time. "Stay. Please? Dougie, tell him he has to stay. We didn't do anything. Just felt good."

Travis shook his head. That was such a useless promise, but he wasn't going to argue right now. It was obvious that TJ wasn't thinking anyway. "I have to, but I'll come back soon," he said instead.

"Not fair. It's all nice and good. You should join us," Doug answered. 'you make TJ feel good and that's... that feel good."

Oh, yes, Travis was going to kill Brian and then TJ and Doug, for good measure. He sat on the edge of the couch on the other side of Doug. "Look, babe, I have to make sure that everyone else is good, too. When I do, I'll come back and I'll stay with you for the rest of the night. I promise. You stay here, and I'll be back soon."

TJ sighed, but nodded. Travis had to help people. TJ wasn't sure why he had to help people just then. It didn't seem like anyone was in trouble, just...happy. But, Travis helped people. If he could remember nothing else clearly, he remembered that. Travis helped people. He'd helped TJ and he helped Doug. He'd come back to help all these people, too.

"He's right," he told his lover earnestly. "You do make me feel good. But, okay. You promise you'll come back; I'll stay here. With Doug. No more fighting. We said so." That last part seemed extremely important. But, he'd figure it out later. Reaching over, he pulled Travis close for a messy kiss. "Go help. We'll be good. Promise."

Not being good would mean getting up and they were too comfortable to do that, anyway.

Derek could feel his head clear as he walked away from Deeks, which made his job much easier. First the team leaders. He would have gone in order normally, but he'd seen people hurt themselves during the war and he had no idea what marijuana was like. If there was one person who shouldn't have a weapon was John.

Derek found his nephew all cuddled up with Brian who was laughing at every stupid thing. Getting their weapons wasn't hard, but he was walking around with way too many guns.

Thankfully, Savannah arrived with ziplock bags. They tagged each weapon. For now, they were putting into shopping bags that Savannah had also found, and then he went to the other team leaders.

The ones who were sober were given the responsibility to check on their teams and take the weapons of those high. With John high, he gave Dom the responsibility, while Troy helped out with the office personnel once he got Robert's weapon.

Derek waited to get reports and weapons from all the teams before going back to Deeks. "All right, this is what we got." He put down the bags with the guns, plus he lay down the rifles. "Those have all been confiscated from people who are high. We've tagged them with the owners' names."

He couldn't believe that this was happening and he had a feeling he knew who to blame, too. "Sober, besides the three of us you have: your wife, Alexis, Vail, Renko, Sean and Troy. On the other list, you have: Brian and John, Vance, Hammond and his entire family, Eric, Jenna, Isles, Nell, Green, Queen and Merlyn, Robert, Cooper, and Riggins. With these number and not knowing how much they ingested, I'd suggest that we sleep here tonight, because there's no way that the nine of us can keep track of everyone. Get some blankets or the sleeping bags and stay here."

Oliver/Margaret - While the Band is Still Playing
[info]_oliver_queen

Oliver was in a very good mood. The band was playing. The brownies were a delicious change. He was the most relaxed he'd been in ages.

He was stoned.

If push came to shove, he could still perform with pretty damned good accuracy. He'd been under the influence of drugs that went with torture and still managed to kick some ass. He'd probably do it with a smile, this go around.

Oliver wanted to dance. He eyed his unattached candidates and smothered a snigger when his gaze alit on Margaret, triggering the memory of his conversation with Tommy. Oliver decided why not? That woman could probably teach him a thing or two anywhere.

He approached Margaret and sketched a bow, which probably looked ridiculous considering he was armed with a rifle, quiver, bow, and bug out bag. "May I have this dance?"

"Now, Sugar, I rarely turn down the chance to let a hunk like you put his hands on me. But, this isn't dancing music." Margret waved one hand at the stage where the band was playing some modern pop thing the kids all liked, probably to give young Sean's hand a rest for a few minutes. Margaret was happy to get up and sing a song or two when they played something she knew. But, this stuff was not her cup of tea. "Come sit and keep an old lady company. My grandson's gone and disappeared to enjoy the party in his own way and I need someone pretty to look at."

Margaret laughed. "Nice try, Handsome. But at my age, I've earned that title and every white hair that's come with it."

Oh, he was a cute kid, in more than just looks. Margaret raised an eyebrow and smirked. "They teach you that in those clubs TJ and your friend Tommy like to play at? I may be stoned, but I wasn't born yesterday and I've heard just about every line in the book. But, if you want some advice on your pick-up lines, Sugar, try not insinuating the woman's a prostitute before you trot out the empty compliments."

"I didn't mean..." Oliver sputtered, and his cheeks heated. "I'm sorry. Oh wow, am I out of touch. Where's Tommy when I need someone to smack me upside the head?"

He looked around for his friend, and caught sight of the brownies. "How about if I get us a brownie and we start again? This time without my foot in my mouth?"
