"Yes? What exactly is there to him? Because for the life of me, I can't figure it out and I'm a pretty smart person." Doug didn't add that if they hadn't been brothers, they probably would have never met, because they had very different circles and if they had, they would have hardly been friends. "Queen doesn't seem like he knows how to talk, making him irrelevant as well for the purpose of this discussion, since I'm back with Mom and Dad as people I can talk to."
Doug didn't buy it for a minute, but he could go along. "Fine, then why did you ask me to sit down? To tell me that I sound suicidal? I wouldn't do that to Mom and Dad. Twice is enough and they don't deserve it. Now your conscience is clean and you can do whatever you want without worrying about the repercussions." Not that he thought that TJ would think about them. He'd feel guilty and be upset later, and people would have to worry about him.
"I don't talk about things, because life is what it is. We had the best; we are getting the worse. Adults understand that this is what happens at times. It's shitty and there is nothing that can be done," he said. "Dreams are for kids, TJ and I stopped being one ages ago. Dreams are gone and we live in a nightmare. Talking is never going to change that, but I'll be around to witness them." At least until their parents were alive. "Are we done talking?"
