"He likes people, there's a difference." TJ wasn't sure Travis likes these people so much as just did what he'd always done and fit in where he could. He spoke of respecting Deeks, who seemed to be the one he knew best. But, even Travis had said they weren't really friends. Still he snorted at Doug's summation. "You're longing for a conversation with Dad, it must have been bad. I take it Tommy and Queen weren't invited, either? You could at least have had someone worth talking to."
Biting back a sigh, TJ concentrated on the fingering for a tricky embellishment for a moment. "I asked because there isn't any time for quiet moments with my brother, it seems, either. But, I wouldn't say there's nothing to talk about. There's the fact I haven't been able to tell you about the conversation I had with Mom last night. You said some things before that we should talk about at some point. I won't apologize again, since you don't want to hear it. But, some day we need to talk about it, Doug. You were right about some of it. But, you were wrong about other things. We don't have to talk about it tonight, but there are things to talk about."
