"Have to go." The correction was automatic, as was the explanation that followed. "There is nothing to tell them because there is not enough data to make a conclusion one way or another. That's my point. The assumption these symptoms are normal and healthy is dangerous. The assumption these symptoms are an aberration and need to be treated is also dangerous. There is no conclusive evidence for either assumption. The people in charge cannot expect to, nor be expected to, make decisions with any reliability based on zero data. Guesses that are wildly inaccurate can do as much harm as accurately judged dangers.
"I will need to run some tests, but do not have the correct equipment available to me. Once I've discussed this with those in charge, you'll come in for tests and we'll figure this out the smart way."
