"I'll introduce you," Jenna replied with a laugh. "You can see for yourself if I'm right or wrong."
She shrugged at the comment on politics. "Well yes, that's true, but studying politics of countries and regions is quite different from living in a group. Besides, most of my studies were about the situation in the middle east back home, something which isn't exactly relevant to us here." And none of her studies had told her anything that could prepare her for the reality of going there, of seeing the violence and fear. Of wondering every time she got in a car or helicopter if this would be the day she got killed, of wondering if the friends she'd made would ever make it back, of going into a house and hopping she didn't shoot a child in the search for a terrorist.
No political science was all good and well in the classroom, life was more complicated, it was always harder to see the bigger picture when you were right in the center of it.
