Savannah turned around not really paying attention to Maura anymore. She had planned on telling G in while, just a few more weeks for her to do something, to be helpful, but she wouldn't have lied to Maura and while she would have asked for confidentiality, the cat was out of the bag.
"The morning Vance sent me out," she said. "I didn't know before, but at the party, I walked by the smoking section at the rec center, and I got nauseous. That got me thinking. The next day I got the test and did it. Vance sent me out before I had a chance to tell anyone, and then-" She shrugged. "Things needed to be done. People needed help and no one would have benefited from seeing me as the weak pregnant woman. Everyone needed to know that I was okay, truly okay."
She got closer and squeezed his hand. "I'm fine. And, there's really not much to say. I'm pregnant. We have no doctor, no equipment, nothing to do with the pregnancy than to wait and see. I'm good, the baby is good. I'm not getting out of a team, because I'm not sitting another twenty weeks at home or I'll go crazy."
