"You're kidding me, right? Just drinks for a night cost as much as that," he said, before frowning. "That's your brother, right? Pilot. I saw him on Sunday, wearing APO jeans. Now those I recognize, better than all of these clothes that make my skin crawl any time I get dressed. They feel horrible," he said, shivering.
"I wasn't appeasing him. I didn't want to leave him alone, and I didn't want to be alone either. We've been friends since kids." Tommy was going to be around regardless of what Callen thought of Oliver. "Oliver is a good man, but he was alone for the past five years and he needs time to adjust to people again."
Tommy smiled. "When someone like me tells someone like you that what you're doing is commendable, take the compliment, because we don't give them often." He followed, although regardless of what the other man said, walking felt like an Herculean task at the moment. "I'm not arguing your rules, though. I just don't think I can. I've never worked in my life. Never done anything physical. I went to college for almost ten years, partying my way through it, and now I can't even walk without wishing I had my Ferrari here, because going from the hotel to the office feels like dying. For your sake, find someone else to partner with you, because I can only help with restaurant orders and traveling around the world."
