RP: Sam and G
Who: Sam Hanna, G Callen
Where: New York, Fort Hamilton
When: Friday, November 12, 2010 - evening
Summary: Partners converse. It's what they do.

"We need an office," G said, walking back to the hotel with Sam.

His partner had been clocking in some scary hours with a punching bag in the gym ever since they got there two weeks ago. It was his stress relief, G knew. When something was eating at Sam, the bag took the brunt of it. Not that they talked much when something was bothering either one of them. Not unless they wanted to or needed to. But, they had a way of making it known to each other when they recognised the behaviour. Quietly leaving the door open, as it were, just in case.

And that was why, tonight, G had gone to the gym at the end of the day, waited until Sam was done punishing the bag for his own thoughts, then simply fallen in to walk back to their new 'home' together with promises of a run past the commissary to pick up dinner.

"We need a television, too," he added with a smirk. "If the Knicks or the Lakers exist, we're missing games." That would just be strange, thinking of a Los Angeles without it's champions. Dodger blue ruled the summer. Then, instead of leaves changing, the city turned purple and gold come October. It might not be much of an identity for a man to hold on to, but G was an L.A. boy at heart.
