"Whoa, slow down." Abby had no clue how close she came to getting put in a headlock by rushing G like that after weeks of cutting herself off from him. But, instead he very carefully and gently took her by the shoulders and held her back far enough he could actually see her without breaking his neck with her in those ridiculously high boots of hers.
"Yes, we can go this weekend. Not overnight and we'll bring a couple of the others for back-up. Just in case. I'm not saying I don't still think there's a chance someone with powers is messing with you," he warned. "But, we don't have enough evidence either way. So, we'll see what there is to see."
And then there was more hugging and G could only shake his head because she was like a big kid now, all forgiveness and friendly smiles. "Okay, that's your hug quota for the week." He said it teasingly, however, to avoid starting another round of whatever the last few weeks had been.
"All of them?" This was the woman who had refused to carry for how long? Were they sure she wasn't bipolar or something? "I have people I need to talk to after lunch." He thought for a moment, not wanting to pass up the opportunity to actually get her qualified after what they'd gone through over training. "But, I can make time after sixteen hundred. We can do it then. All of them."
