RP: Eliot and April
Who: April, Eliot
Where: Their new home in La Porte, Indiana
When: evening, December 8
Summary: They have a home, Christmas can begin

Since deciding on the house, they'd kept busy. Not only had they gone to sign the papers and put up the deposit on the house down, they'd been to choose and order the furniture and made sure to get everything ready for the move. Then finally, the day before yesterday they'd been given the keys and yesterday most of the furniture was delivered. Today, April had been spending the day setting things up (with help from Nate whenever there was something heavy to move) and turning the empty house into a home. The Christmas decorations were the icing on the cake.

There were lights everywhere, and ornaments and after Eliot got home from work a tree to decorate. Christmas music was playing from the computer and the house even smelled like Christmas from April's baking, which she happily shared with the neighbors stopping by to welcome them to the neighborhood.

Turning off all other lights than the Christmas lights, April wrapped her arms around Eliot, beaming up at him. She felt calmer than she had in months. She still missed the others, especially Savannah, but today she was at peace. They had a home, and actual home in a nice neighborhood, in a nice town. Tonight, she was just happy, and enjoying the Christmas spirit.
