Oliver put up his hands in a placating gesture. "No police. No car. How about allowing us to use your phone so we can stop bothering you?" He did his best to charm the man.
The man eyed him and Tommy, then grabbed the cordless from behind the desk. "No long-distance and make it quick. You're holding up business."
Oliver smiled with false politeness before turning partially away from the man. Oliver tried dialing Diggle's cell phone first and received a digital message that the number he'd dialed did not exist. Home was next, only to get a similar message. The same with Laurel's numbers, both cell and business.
He didn't grant Tommy's wish to call the police. He returned the phone and asked for directions instead. He shot Tommy a sharp look to keep him quiet, at least until they were back outside.
