Re: At Home
Travis pulled back slightly, enough that he could stare without going crossed-eyed and raised an eyebrow. "Really? All of that for a teddy bear. You're just giving me the history, because you're still upset that Rachel got the big one. Seriously, though, you shouldn't be upset. You know I love you more."
It was a good thing that TJ was using his power, and yes, he knew that it was TJ, because he was panicking over the word 'love'. Not that he'd never used it before. He used to joke and tease, but never with someone he slept with. Ever. All of a sudden it didn't matter, because he was feeling emotions that were nothing like panic, but reminded him of happy moments with a side of lust.
The kiss was the natural ending and when TJ pulled back, Travis rolled on his back, staring up at the ceiling. He always ended up saying more than he should, but he believed that trust was built by sharing part of each other. Not a quid pro quo, but a genuine want to let the other person see the more vulnerable parts of the individual. "I don't have a birthday. I mean I have one, but it was made up by some social worker or some nurse. I don't know." He turned his head to look at TJ. "Birthdays should be about family and friends, about enjoying the simple things. I guess I wanted you and Doug to see the beauty in that and that you don't always need money or fame or whatever. Minus the dinner, which-" He shook his head. "We're going to an In-N-Out for my birthday. I'm telling you right now. Ten bucks and no one to hover over you."
He reached over and laced his fingers with TJ, much like they had done throughout the day. "For the record, I never stalked you and you didn't want me with you at Disney. You would never have been with someone like me and you wouldn't fuck me if I were the last person on the planet, or something to that effect," he said with a smile. "We live together, we're lovers, we do what couples do, but this is really the first time that we've... dated." He didn't count the clubs as dating, because the only time that it hadn't been about work, it'd been about Halloween. "I enjoyed today, too."
