"Not that I mind planning," Nate said, speaking up from the back of the car. "But you're both getting ahead of yourselves."
"It's five more days before we even get there and we haven't even settled on which town to choose, let alone seen the places. We don't know how welcome we'll be, how we'll like it, if we decide it's safe to stay - all of that needs to be decided before we can decide on where to live."
"What we do need to focus on is a place to rent when we get there, and a reason why a married couple wants a middle aged man to live with them, even if it's just temporary."
"Temporary?" April asked, sounding confused. "It's not safe-"
"Nothing we can do can be safe," Nate cut her off. "If I live with you, it's strange and people might get suspicious, if I don't then we're separated. There is little to be done about the fact that no option is safe the way Hannah would want them to be."
