"Chef," Eliot answered immediately. He might have to suffice with fast food for a time, he acknowledged, but being a chef at an actual restaurant was where he wanted to be.
Cody was sprawled beside Nate in the back seat, while Eliot sat next to April up front. They'd left fairly early, but it was going to be roughly five days before they got to their destination, especially since they were down a driver and driving all night wasn't in the cards with a pregnant woman.
Eliot glared a moment, triggering his x-ray vision to view the area before dropping back to normal. He couldn't tell for sure, but sometimes he thought he was seeing shapes. Blurry shapes, but shapes nonetheless.
