Some days he wondered if they were training people enough, and some days he wondered if they were training them too well. He had expected some sort of armed welcoming with the people involved, but there was nothing to be done about that. He wouldn't risk compromising everything he had planned to give Savannah and John a warning. He had not counted on Savannah using her sniper training to shoot from pretty far considering how faint her voice was, how unrecognizable. At least she hadn't killed anyone.
It wasn't surprising that the bullet and the warning had people pulling out weapons, searching in the night sky for a target.
"This is Director Vance and the rest of the team. Stand down," he yelled, knowing just how carefully he needed to thread now. He would wait to use their names until the guns were in the holsters again.
