Savannah chuckled. "It's a long, long story. I don't mind telling it, but I don't know if it makes a lot of sense for those who weren't here at the beginning. Feel free to stop me at any time, though." She knew she could talk more than most people, in fact.
"I come from a Baptist family, you go to school, find your husband, get married, have children," she started, because that was really the important point. "When I got here... I was a prisoner." Oh yes, and now she remembered why she hated Hetty. "I had no friends, no one to talk to, and very little hope that I would ever be allowed out. Pretty much everything that I ever wanted was gone and there was nothing I could do."
She smiled at him. "It's still gone. I have no illusions, but I got close to Marty and G, and they made it worth sticking around even though this still isn't what I want with my life." She chuckled. "If we ever go back, they'll have to support me, while I can go back to being a cheerleader and a housewife, but until then, I'll make sure that they have someone to cover their back."
