Re: Savannah and Tim
"Sure is," she confirmed and even to her ear she could tell that her twang was coming out, and not the watered down version that she used at school, but the one that always came out when they spent a few weeks at their grandparents during the summer break. "Kind of funny that I need to come to a different dimension to bring the Texan in me."
She laughed when Tim mentioned shotguns. "I don't know. My mama can shoot with the best of 'em. My dad doesn't like guns or rifles. And I'm sure you had one with the ladies as well." She raised an eyebrow when he spoke about seeing her powers, although the phrasing left it open to interpretation. "You'll see my powers," she answered with a grin.
Savannah nodded. "That's exactly it. No idea how to cook, and I told you I'm tougher than a football player. You'd be cryin' yourself to sleep in my place with no one to interpret what they were saying." She raised her chin and smiled. "You have a date, Mr. Running Back. Hey, I didn't ask you what number on that jersey."
