She cut herself off when suddenly Eliot cursed and and closed his eyelids, thinking she'd hinted something white but thinking she was wrong. "Eliot, what's wrong?" she asked, and this time she didn't even try to divide her focus between the two.
Around them, others had gotten closer. Nate came up to them, placing his hand briefly on Eliot's shoulder. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he stayed silent, taking another sip of the whiskey in his hand while he watched April at work.
