Once, that comment would have had him analysing what she meant and thinking of ways to ask her out and wondering if she'd say yes. Now it just had him smile. "Thanks," he said with a grin. He wasn't completely immune to her flattery, he had to admit that.
When they went to business, however, he paid complete attention. Asking her about her systems, what she had access to, what kind of differences there were between this and the ones she had. He respected people who knew their ins and outs of a computer, and couldn't wait to see his lab, or meet the two people he was supposed to work with.
"Unless they're new at what they're doing and actually can't find it," Eric suggested. "Or wants to mess with you. Also, I didn't say you doubted what you saw only gave you other possible explanations or reasons," he said as he read the document. "Did he look dead?" he asked as he pointed to another document on the screen.
