Re: Derek/Nell
"Oh candy and treats is still the best part as far as I'm concerned," Nell replied, laughing. "I've got a stash of Halloween sugar cookies back at my place that I plan to finish decorating when I get home tonight so I can pass them out at my desk."
She tried. She really did. She tried not to giggle, but she couldn't help it when he was standing there looking his usual big bad wolf self and asking what he was going to wear. Leaning over, she kissed his cheek to make up for it. It was getting easier to do that these days, show affection with her friends again. Something she owed Derek for, too. "Honestly? A soldier is perfectly acceptable. Particularly if you wear a too-tight t-shirt with the BDUs and shades indoors because apparently costumes must have sex appeal from what I hear." She shook her head. She always wore costumes that were fun and probably a little geeky, herself, rarely sexy even before. "For that matter, you could probably get all dressed up like for the wedding and call yourself James Bond. I'm thinking I'll go as an airship captain myself. I can get away with raiding wardrobe or my own closet for pretty much everything but a cheap pair of goggles. You could be my first mate, if you want. Combat boots, jeans, T-shirt, see if we can get an old bomber jacket from the thrift store. Long shot, maybe, but who knows. If we're not boarding an ark instead, we can even check out the thrift store at lunch tomorrow and see if it sparks any ideas."
