RP: Alexis, Sam and Emily
Who: Alexis, Sam and Emily
Where: the office
When: after the trip, October 27, 2012
Summary: Alexis runs another outing by then

Alexis waited for the return from their trip from hell to speak to Sam and Emily. She figured that if she screwed up, then asking would be pointless and if she didn't, it'd give her leverage. Asking before was a waste of time.

When they returned, they parked the cars at the team center and she asked the two SSAs for a word. It wasn't until they were in the conference room that she started to speak. "This is about Halloween. I don't know if we're having training that night or if we can take a day off like in real jobs, but we were thinking of going to the city for the parade and then dancing.

"If there's no training or we can take the day off, then we're thinking of going to the parade. We can even go a little later and do training, and stay toward the end, around 15th Street and then walk down to Webster Hall for the Webster Hell," she said. "It's me, Tim, Brian, Derek, Dom, Eric, Claudia, Jenna, John, Marty, Nell, Savannah, Sean and Troy. As you can see almost all of us are special agents, so the ratio is off the roof. really only Brian, Eric and Nell aren't part of the teams. Claudia is the only one not qualified. If there's ever a group that has fire power, this is the one. In terms of teams, I was thinking me, Tim, Eric; Derek, Nell, Sean and Troy; Dom, Jenna and Claudia; Marty, Savannah, Brian and John. This way if something happens, we can even split further with Derek and Nell, Sean and Troy, Marty and Savannah, Brian and John. And yes, I know what you said about John and Brian, but Brian can turn into anything and John ... he's John." That really made everything clear.

"If we have to do training, we'd go straight to Webster Hall. I was thinking of taking the express bus there and coming back with the subway. We'd be here in time for breakfast and then training. Unless we can take the day off, and then we come here for breakfast and bed. Either way we should be here around 0530," she said, knowing that they'd be useless for the day, but it was Halloween.

"Costumes will ensure that we have weapons, either as part of the costume or hidden. We'd be on 11th street on Halloween. There are close to two million people. They'd have a very hard time spotting us with that many people in case of an attack and the subway and path will be packed too. We can use plenty of routes to get out of Manhattan. We can even bring other costumes to slip on, masks, hoods. It's the day when New York gets even weirder than normal. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. So please?"

Emily started smiling about mid-way through the explanation because Alexis' enthusiasm made it difficult not to, even if there were so many problems with a trip like this she could already imagine the lively debate that would have to come from this. Although, that image might also have something to do with the smile.

"You've put a good deal of thought into things," she began, opting to start with the positive. "Before we get into the security of things, I'd like to point out that any sort of permission is going to require permission from the Director, Callen, and Morgan, particularly as you're asking to take out every tech we have in the middle of the work week, as well as both operations managers, which leaves only the newest people available on the office staff. A day off for all of you would also mean leaving us down more than half the field units. Training schedules and any time off requests are going to have to be reviewed by those three since it would greatly impact operations."

"Well if that's a problem, then we can solve the problem very easily. We leave at 2200, get there at 2300, go party until four, and then back for breakfast. We were already counting for that possibility." Ask for more than you expect and you'll get what you want. It's not like she hadn't done it with her father.

"If it's done at night, it would be no different than any of the other ops, where people go out do dinner, or brunch, or the spa. And we won't take the time off," She said with a smile. "There might be an issue for the babies, but I'm assuming that Savannah and Jenna will deal with that since they don't really follow under the agency's jurisdiction. So really, it is about the security, not about anything else."

Sam looked up at Emily, and then at Alexis. One thing that he had learned was that Alexis was very smart. She might not be a genius like Cooper or even Dom, but she was quick and had a great those of common sense with just enough manipulation that seemed to belong to most women. She was definitely a lot more dangerous than any of the so called geniuses as this argument was proving.

"And you will be useless the day after. All of you," he said. "I know your security is solid, because we've gone through things with today's trip, and as you said Halloween is easier, but we're losing all of you the next day, even if you're reporting for duty, because you'll be zombies."

"Well, there is one security problem. Sheldon, I haven't told him, because he gets excited, but if you give the okay, then we'd have to bring him too and he'd go with Dom's group, unless you want him to come with me and Tim and then Eric goes with Dom. That's fine too." She looked at Emily. "This wouldn't really weaken your defenses here. Two ADs, two SSAs, Robert, Renko, Nick. You have seven solid fighters. Nate and Eliot are self sufficient. April is qualified. Really that's ten people right there and only the director, Elaine, Margaret and Bud to defend. If you can't manage to keep those four people safe, then we aren't the ones with the problem."

"And the children," Sam pointed out.

"Still, you do have the most experienced agents here," she answered with a smile.

He looked at Emily again, and then sighed. "We'll let you know tomorrow, okay?"

She nodded. "All right, good enough."
