Summary: Travis is working and TJ is keeping him company
Travis was working tonight. It was the second night for the week and it was a little better than the week before. A little better did not mean that he was fine, but he also knew how to pretend and when he was walking around, he was polite and alert, even more so than usual. He didn't like having TJ here. It was too dangerous, too filled with alcohol and drugs. That meant that he never took his eyes off from TJ for long.
One of the other bouncers had joked that he was whipped. Travis had just smiled, used a lame excuse and let the guy think that he couldn't spend a single moment without his boyfriend. When the guy had continued, talking about TJ's looks and how different he was from the rest and how he'd like to get his hands on someone like him, there might have been a growl from Travis, but it was just a cover. That was all.
Look was all that he could do. He stopped a few times during the night, but each time he'd caught a glimpse of TJ's past. They were just flashes of another club, a much different and richer crowd. Not people that Travis would have ever associated with. Hell even in the flashbacks, he could sense the money and entitlement. Using work as an excuse, he stayed away after that, even though TJ was the only person who got to see that he was less than okay, but the night was winding down and there wasn't much to do. He joined TJ at the bar and sat next to him. "Another half an hour and then we throw everyone out, time to deal with closing down and then we can go home." He leaned over and kissed TJ, putting a little too much of his weight on the other man, but it felt so good to close his eyes and not think for a moment. He also knew it couldn't last and he pulled back, smiling. "Not your crowd, is it?"
