Travis smiled a little. "You don't see it, but you are dealing with things better than you think. A month ago you got furious when any reference to Sean were made. Now, you can talk about it, you can admit what hurt."
He really tried not to see memories. He couldn't explain how it happened or why, but he didn't consciously try to see anything, and it never really happened here, but suddenly he was thrown in TJ's past. There were flashes from that night, Sean's leaving, words exchanged, and he couldn't see Tj, but he could feel, and he pulled back, closing his eyes, trying to focus on his own past, his own memories, pushing everything else away. It wasn't until he could only see his own past that he reopened his eyes. "Touching might not be a good idea right now, not while we talk about Sean. He ended it messily? Seriously? And you tried to kill yourself instead of beating the crap out of him?" Now that he could have supported completely. "Jesus, TJ, he was a fucking coward and an ass, and you- You've let this idiot ruin your life? Let me tell you something. No man is going to fuck another man because he wants to get off... well unless they are in a maximum security jail for a long time, but I digress. I don't know about your relationship or the things you did together, but there's no way in hell that he was pretending. The man was a dick. He was trying to hurt you so you wouldn't push, so he could go back to pretending he was the All American boy. It's a basic break-up rule. You make sure that the other person never tries to start things up again. Trust me, I should know. Okay, maybe you shouldn't have beaten him, because he's fucked up himself, but there's no way you can believe half the crap he said. You're too smart for that."
