RP: Elaine and Margaret
Who: Elaine and Margaret
Where: Elaine's office
When: October 25, 2012
Summary: Elaine misses her family
Living with three men who weren't her family was not as hard as she thought it would be. They were courteous, orderly and rarely bothered her. John was so young and yet so mature; he reminded her of Doug, while Brian was much like TJ, despite the age difference. Derek was more like her secret service detail, always there, always careful and yet almost invisible. Of course, there were differences as well. John was a lot more independent than Doug. Brian was not as irresponsible as TJ. Even his addiction wasn't even an addiction.
Really life with them wasn't really bad, except that it wasn't the same. She missed her boys. She missed living with her mother and her tongue. She was even starting to miss living with Bud, and they hadn't lived together in years.
At least, she could see Bud and her mother during the day. Unlike most days when she preferred others to make food for her, she had gone to the store on base to get two salads and drinks. It was juice... well and if there was something in the juice, no one was around to notice. "Mother, care to have lunch in my office," she asked, showing Margaret the shopping back. "There's even dessert." The chocolate mouse was completely inappropriate, but chocolate always made her feel better.
She opened the office door and went in, putting everything on the coffee table, while sitting on the couch. "Not exactly what we're used to, but it's healthy and we don't have to make it."
