"Some of us are experienced enough to be able to break the rules now and then," G returned with a smirk before frowning as she continued. He hadn't actually been talking about himself this time, just people in general. But, this was Savannah who saw things in his words he never intended to put there, whether he was hiding or not. "Sam is doing his job just fine. But, it's also not his job to make things better if something were wrong."
Savannah wasn't reading it right, though. He wasn't going to explode. He'd already exploded and now he was simply layering cold over a fiery rage and betrayal that he couldn't do anything about. The only thing he could do was make sure it didn't happen again, that no one got that close, close enough to threaten his family. He knew why he didn't exist here and when they got home, it would be a jumping off point from which to make sure whatever threat had followed his parents from Romania could never, ever, touch another member of his family again. "There's nothing to talk about, Savannah. I don't know what you and Sean think you've seen, but there's nothing wrong."
Letting her hug him, he shook his head. "Skimpy is only less expensive at Halloween and possibly only in New York." He chuckled. "Just keep enough covered that your husband doesn't have to start killing people for touching you."
