Of anyone, Sean knew Savannah would have done something because that was just who she was. She remembered and planned for these things. The sight of her approaching with bags for gifts wasn't at all surprising and he grinned as he took the first one. "See how sweet she is? You get to open a gift early," he teased Troy as he opened the card. Winking at Savannah, he explained. "Nell and I are both holding out on him. No birthday presents until it's actually his birthday."
Sean didn't want Troy's birthday getting lost in the shuffle just because they celebrated with everyone the night of his. Luckily, Troy's best friend was of a similar mind and more than happy to go along with Sean on it.
It was the second gift that made him set aside his teasing and lift her up as she hugged him. "Savannah, these are awesome," he told her when he'd set her back on her feet. "Thank you. I'll even forgive the 'baby' brother bit."
