My original arrangement was Reese for Nell, and I had Nate in the other group because he would put the others over himself and has the experience with dangerous situations. It was changed later to house groups and splitting Claudia and myself up. Reese's suddenly not wanting to go throws things.
While I could sacrifice myself or Nate for Nell, you're right that I couldn't do it for April, not anymore. I'm not going to speak for April on this. I'm also not going to argue about not needing someone to protect me since it'll never be agreed on.
The new partners would have been Nate/Me, Nell/April, Riggins/Eric, Alexis/Claudia. That's a no go. Now I'm thinking, if it's still even possible, to switch Nell and Claudia. Hell, I'd rather stack the deck with a three/five combo and put Nate in the other team, with Claudia with me and April. Claudia can use and carries a gun, even if she's not hours-qualified. Your 1:1 ratio works with the group as a whole, but not in the teams.
Which makes me ask, why divide into teams? I didn't even divide it down into teams until you mentioned it in your first response for security. I was going with partners, since that was the 1:1 ratio. Was this something that came up in past training as to how you were going to do things, that I don't know about since I wasn't training with you all regularly?
Now I'm wondering if people wanted to go out 1:1 and ended up at the same place if it would be permitted or not. And would Nell and Eric ever be let off base without being with someone of the upper levels.
Reese is pissed because I put all the information people needed to know in an email, including mentioning those left at home not being alone as you said was my responsibility to ensure.
